The USD/CHF pair is also referred to as the “Dollar Swiss”. The Swiss Franc is widely considered a safe haven currency among traders mainly because Switzerland has been and continues to stay neutral on all political and economical frontiers that affect the Euro zone. The Swiss Franc accounts for 6.4% of all Forex Spot transactions (according to the 2010 Triennial Survey) and for 2.2% of the global trade (during 2010-2011). The European Union is Switzerland's largest trading partner, and Switzerland is the EU's fourth largest. Switzerland accounts for 5.2% of the EU's imports.
