What are the trading hours on the iFOREX platform?
Trading hours depend on the financial instrument being traded. Different markets operate in different time zones, so forex, commodities, indices, shares, and cryptocurrencies may have varying trading sessions throughout the week.
Why do trading hours differ between instruments?
Each instrument follows the schedule of its underlying market. For example, stock CFDs typically follow the opening hours of the relevant stock exchange, while forex trading operates nearly continuously during the global trading week.
What happens if I have an open position when a market closes?
If a market closes while you still have an open position, it will remain open until the market reopens unless your stop-loss, take-profit, or margin requirements trigger a position closure.
